Text Format is on the Format menu. It determines the line spacing in document windows and wrapped headlines. It does not determine the spacing between headlines, document and picture windows — the Outline Layout commands do that. Text Format also sets the left, right, and center justification of text lines and amount of indentation of tab stops. Text formats in one view are completely independent in of other views. For example, a headline can be single spaced while its corresponding bullet chart subheads are double spaced. You can create scope rules when applying Text Format over a range of levels. Before printing, check you current text formats in the Preview window. Text Format has the following options:
Line Spacing Sets the spacing of lines. The available options are single, 1 1/2, double, and custom.
Flush Left Justifies all of the text lines so that they begin at the left margin.
Centered Centers text lines.
Flush Right Justifies all of the text lines so that they end at the left margin.
Fully Justified Justifies the text so that there are no ragged edges to the left or right sides.
Tab Stops Displays a dialog box with the following options:
Left Tabs Every Sets the indentation for each tab stop.
Center & Right Tab Creates a centered tab stop and a right justified tab stop. This option is frequently used in the Headers & Footers window.
